MICHAEL VIRTUE
Biography of impressionist artist Michael Virtue
Michael Virtue, Artist Raised in the Northwest, Michael spent much of his time experiencing and observing the landscape diversities characteristic of this region of the U.S. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Michael intuitively perfected a keen sense of perception of light and color that is reflected in his impressionistic landscape style. Though a self taught artist, he has always been an avid reader and student of painting techniques and color theory. He strongly believes that painting is a skill that can be honed through study, observation, critical review, and practice. His methodology, Michael believes, is responsible for the natural development of his unique style, use of color, and expressive brush strokes. Michael’s paintings are sold nationally and internationally by galleries, art consultants, dealers, and designers. His work is well represented in many private and corporate collections. He has appeared several times on national television and has lectured extensively on art and painting technique. What others say......
